ATM Adaptation Layer/Management
This course teaches the basics of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) as used in the telecommunications industry. It identifies the major attributes of ATM technology. It addresses the history, as well as the current state of ATM technology, and some of its challenges. It discusses the variety of business and consumer applications that benefit from ATM connectivity. It then outlines the extent of today's deployment of ATM switching technology in network backbones.
